Kushina's very first capture! She had gone down to the hot springs to see if any Pokemon needed chasing out of there. Lo and behold, she found a lone Lileep poking out of the steaming water. It didn't seem too keen on battling until she sent Chomper splashing in after it. After a short battle, Kushina caught her and settled on a ramen ingredient <s>among many</s> she likes for the Lileep's nickname because of her purple coloring and floral appearance.

When all the prehistoric Pokemon were returned to their fossilized forms on 7/29, to say Kushina was disappointed would have been an understatement... not that she'd let on. But at least a spark of hope came in the form of hearing she'd have her Pokemon back on 8/5 courtesy of some gym leader named Brock. She's made a mental note to thank him if she ever meets him in person and to use Umeboshi in her battle with him.
